A few years ago, my daughter adopted a puppy from the local animal shelter. She was just a teen and worked part-time. She paid the adoption fee herself. Since then, she’s fed and watered her, vetted her, babied, pampered, bathed, walked, nurtured, and spoiled her, not to mention how much she’s loved this puppy, who is now a full-grown dog (shhhh, she doesn’t know she’s a dog). Her name is Bella. She’s part of our family and I am her Nana.
She’s played dress up with Bella a lot. Bella has been such a good sport through it all. She doesn’t wear as many costumes now since she’s older. She spends her time sleeping, eating our cat’s food, playing with her squeaky toy, and barking at the neighbor dogs.
Thank you, Bella, for being such a good sport. You are loved through it all.
